Ainslie Football Club is a semi-professional Australian rules football club based in Canberra, in the Australian Capital Territory. The club, formed in 1927 and play now in the North East Australian Football League, won its first premiership in 1929. It is notable for having produced several Australian Football League players including James Hird and Shaun Smith. Nathan Buckley played one season with the club. In its history, ex-St Kilda footballer Kevin Neale was captain coach for six seasons (1978–1983); and, in that time Ainslie won four premierships: 1979, 1980, 1982, 1983.
